Youth Education:  Sunday school and Beyond

St. Mary's offers a comprehensive Christian education program for children, youth, and young adults starting at age four. Our curriculum includes Godly Play, the Episcopal Children's Curriculum, and the Journey to Adulthood program.  There is also a staffed nursery available during the Family Eucharist and Santa Eucharistia for infants and toddlers.

Click here for more specific information about these programs.

Service

Acolytes:  If you are eight years old or more, you are invited to learn the duties of an acolyte or crucifer and assist with Sunday or special services.

Youth and Young Adults are also welcome to join more fully in the life of the church through all ministries, and as Lectors or Ushers for services.

Summer Camps

Please visit the Diocese of Oregon to find out about the wonderful camp experiences available for Summer 2010 and beyond.

Journey Fellowship

Journey Fellowship is a chance to get together and have FUN in a relaxed environment. At the start of the '08-'09 program year we split our Journey Fellowship into two groups, middle and high school.

Most of our high school activities take place on the first Sunday of the month. Most of our middle school activities are on the third Sunday of the month. Typically these activities are from 5:00-7:00 PM. All St. Mary’s youth from 6th grade through 12th grade are invited to join us at the events geared towards their grades. You are also welcome to bring a friend or two.  For info on our latest activity, check the youth bulletin board at church, the latest edition of the Bellringer, OR ask Meredith or Louise!
