In-person Worship
In-person Worship Service Changes:
Our new ventilation system has been installed and we have returned to offering all four Sunday services in-person in the sanctuary
8:00 AM Holy Eucharist (Rite I) A quieter, more traditional service using the majestic and poetic language and cadences of Elizabethan English.
9:30 AM Holy Eucharist (Rite II) This service is an intergenerational service that makes a special effort to welcome and include children and youth.
Sunday School For spring 2022, we are following a Summer Sunday School schedule. Kindergarten-4th graders gather in Berktold Hall at 9:30 AM and join their families at the peace. The nursery is also open.
Sunday School classes for our older youth
For our 5th-8th grade youth. This group includes two Sunday School classes – Our current Rite 13 group (7th and 8th graders) and next year’s Rite 13 group (5th and 6th graders). For the next couple of months, we are combining these groups in one larger group that meets weekly at the end of the 9:30 AM service until 11:15 AM.
For our 9th-12th grade youth This group continues to meet twice a month after the 9:30 AM service for Confirmation and Pilgrimage classes.
11:00 AM Holy Eucharist (Rite II) This service has a dignified solemnity. The Liturgical Choir usually sings at the service. Starting April 10, 2022, this service is live streamed.
1:30 PM Spanish-language Eucharist (Rite II) At this service, we celebrate the Eucharist every week in the primary language of many of our members. We make a special effort at this service to welcome children.
What to expect from our in-person worship services:
· No need to register, just come to the worship service of your choice.
· Our masking requirements have changed. Please read Bingham’s letter about it.
· Please give others space. Physically distance from people not inside your household when sitting in the pews.
· Communion wine is again an option for those who wish to have it. For more details, read this article.
· At the 9:30 AM service, we won’t yet be inviting children and youth to gather closely together around the altar during the Great Thanksgiving.
On-line offerings: As of April 10, 2022, we live stream our 11 AM service. Zoom offerings remain a vital part of our ministry. We continue to offer Zoom Morning Prayer on Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:30 AM. Details for joining our Zoom gatherings are included in our weekly emails.
