Love in Action - An Outreach Luncheon series
Sunday, January 22, in Berktold Hall.
Lunch is served at 12:15 PM.
Presentation starts at 12:30 PM.
This month, join us to learn more about Community Supported Shelters. If you’ve been unsheltered for years, have experienced trauma, or are struggling with mental and emotional health issues, simply getting along with others can be a significant challenge.
People who come to live in the Conestoga hut communities run by Community Supported Shelters (CSS) learn how to “leave the street on the street.” The organization operates pre-housing shelter services for those experiencing homelessness, and takes a holistic approach in serving its residents by teaching important life skills, such as learning how to exist with others harmoniously. These “people skills” help residents experience higher success rates in transitioning to more stable homes.
Our guest speaker will be Heather Quaas-Annsa, CSS's Director of Philanthropy. Heather leads the organization's fundraising and communications strategy, public relations, grants and contracts management, and donor stewardship.
Join us Sunday, January 22. Eat with us or pick up a “to go” lunch at the end of the presentation. In order to maintain some physical distance, seating will be limited to the first 40 people who sign up. Sign up at the Information Table or by emailing Louise@saint-marys.org. If you need any food accommodations please reach out to Bingham+ by Friday, January 20, bingham@saint-marys.org, 541-343-9253.
