Many students are still on campus, especially graduate students and their families, and also international students. Spring term ends June 12, and the student food pantry will move to its new location at Grace Lutheran Church, 18th and Hilyard on Saturday, June 13. We will be closed during the break between spring and summer terms and will open again on June 24. Recently, we have seen our numbers of students at the pantry increase. We are regularly serving over 200 students each week! We continue to have volunteer needs/opportunities, they are:
Saturday, June 13, 10 AM - 12 PM, help us move the pantry from 1329 E. 19th to 18th and Hilyard, we will be loading a U-Haul truck with shelving, food stuffs, and refrigerators and then unloading it all into the new space.
Wednesdays 9:30-10:30 help load food at the Food for Lane County Warehouse, 2345 W. Broadway
Wednesdays 10:30-2:30 help unload and sort food and prepare food bags for students.
Thursdays 1:30-3:30 help unload and sort food and prepare food bags for students
